In the first few years of the Plastic Soup Foundation’s existence, we focused primarily on the effects of plastic pollution on marine life. As time passed, however, we learned more about the possible effects of the ubiquity of plastic and its chemical additives on our health.
That’s why we founded the Plastic Health Coalition, a partnership between several national and international environmental and research organizations, to stimulate research into the health effects of plastics and to disseminate scientific results. This year we are organizing the second-ever Plastic Health Summit on the 21st of October, 2021.
